The range of laptops can vary from $600-$4000. As with most technology and solutions your get what you pay for. At the $600-$900 price range you often get consumer or home based solutions. This price point is not meant for business use and will not come with extended warranty, quality parts and options. The other end of the scale is very specialized laptops. This would be meant for autocad or gaming needs, it may also be priced high due to size, touch screens and even dual screens.

Here is a guideline of what you should be looking for in a business class laptop.

- A targus security cable lock
- Docking station with full size keyboard and mouse
- Quality keyboard and mouse
- 3 year warranty on parts and labour
- Complete care warranty (cover accidental damage)
